We needed a very long, custom curtain rod (15 feet to be exact) for our family room. We decided to make our own out of 3/4" black steel pipe which can be found at the hardware store. We broke it down into 3 sections . One section over each window so we could work with it in our space. This DIY curtain rod is very sturdy, beautiful, easy to put together, and it gives the room an industrial, modern feel.
