DIY Unicorn, Guitar, and Lego Valentine's Day Boxes

DIY Dave made this girls' Valentines Day boxes this year - dad WIN! He did such a great job!
THE UNICORN VALENTINE'S DAY BOX
To make the unicorn, we used a cereal box, covered it in white paper, printed the eyes (google unicorn eyes), added yarn and braided it, and the horn was just rolled up paper covered in pink satin ribbon. A few other details were drawn on and colored in. We love how this turned out!
THE GUITAR VALENTINE'S DAY BOX
The guitar was a little more intricate, but the time put in paid off! You can use our DIY Piñata tutorial for basic instructions on how to create and cut out any object using cardboard.
We drew the shape on cardboard, cut out the pieces, taped it all together, covered it in white paper, taped over the sides with blue painters tape to hide imperfections. We added a cute strap and drew on the details. For the turning pegs we used wall anchors (for a screw).
And this was the easiest box of all, haha! We just cut a hole in the top of a LEGO box. He was so happy with it, and we were glad we didn't have to create something else. Whew! I'm just happy he kept his LEGO boxes from Christmas.
