DIY Dishwasher Detergent

 We visited my husband's dad and step-mother a few weeks ago and while we were there I noticed some homemade dishwasher detergent under the sink. Hubby's step-mom was kind enough to share her recipe with me.

Dishwasher Detergent
1C washing soda
1C borax
1/2 C salt
4 pkg. lemonade packets
- put white vinegar in rinse receptacle



 Use and air tight container to store your dish detergent. I used and old baby formula container because it's air tight and has a handy scooper to go along with it. I removed the label and wrote a new name on it so no one would mistake it for baby formula.

    I've been wanting to try and make my own laundry detergent for a while, I never thought of homemade dishwasher detergent. I might have to try this out, thanks for sharing!
