Ok, now for Steph's awesome couponing tips. She is the best.
Fiirst things first, get organized. All my coupons are organized in a binder. If you want, you can print off this coupon organizer. This makes it a bit easier to find your coupons when you suddenly see something on sale. Clear folders are the best so you can easily see what you have.
Next, choose one day a week or more ago gather coupons and organize your coupons. Steph does her coupon printing and organizing on Sunday night. Using the Sunday paper is great. You can even ask others who get the paper for those handy coupons. Steph and I go to our parents' home for dinner each Sunday and always ask for our dad's coupons. This way you can even double up on coupons and save even more.
This is also a great day to plan out your meals for the week. Use the coupons you find to plan what your family will eat. You will be amazed how much money you will save by planning your meals around the coupons you find. Pinterest is a great place to find recipes. I also love allrecipe.com. You can simply put certain ingredients into their search engine and recipes for those ingredients with be given to you. By printing and cutting coupons, and then planning your meals on Sunday you will start your week off right.
Finally, keep your binder next to your purse so that you never leave the house without it.
If you follow these simple steps, and organize yourself well you will soon be saving the big bucks. There are so many better and more fun ways to spend your money.
