DIY: Crock Pot Chicken Fettucini
1:05 PM
Back in the day when I taught elementary school I was given this recipe from one of my student's parents. We LOVE this simple and easy dish at this diva home. With all the hustle and bustle that is going on this holiday season, this is a PERFECT supper.
It's easy. It's cheap. It's delicious!
Make this meal when time is better spent elsewhere than the kitchen.
Ingredients:
Chicken Tenders or chicken breasts
Salt and Pepper to taste (opt.)
1 pkg. dry Italian Dressing mix
8 oz. Phili. Cream Cheese
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp. season salt (opt.)
1/2 tsp. Onion powder (opt.)
broccoli chopped ( I added this to the recipe. Letting the broccoli cook all day in the crock pot with the other ingredients ensures that you get all the healthy benefits that broccoli offers.)
Step 1: Put Chicken in the crock pot
I even put it in frozen... so easy!
Step 2: Put chopped broccoli on top of chicken
Step 3: Add Salt and Pepper. Sprinkle Italian Dressing mix.
Step 4: Add cubed cream cheese.
Step 5: Add Cream of Chicken Soup and other spices to the mix
Step 6: Add milk and stir up a little.
Step 7: Let cook on low for 8 hours.
Eight Hours or so later.......
Step 8: Stir Sauce, Shred Chicken and Boil some pasta (We love whole wheat pasta in our house. It is so much better for you!)
Step 9: Add pasta to sauce
Step 10: ENJOY!!
