DIY: Halloween Costumes
1:35 PM
I just finished my girls' halloween costumes last night! Older E is Rapunzel, and younger E is a girl version of Pascal. Enjoy!
Basically to make a Pascal costume like this, I made a pattern from a sack pajama that I already had, sewed up the green felt just like the original sack pajama, added a hood and a tail, and hot glued some eye's and a bow on the head.
To make the Rapunzel costume, I sewed tulle onto a nylon leg. I used the other leg and cut it up to make sleeves and attached some stretchy decorative elastic on the end of the sleeves. I used half of a pillow case to line the inside of the dress so it wasn't see through. Hair and crown are from Walmart. The hair cost $8 and it was worth it. You can also find hair like this on Amazon HERE and a crown on Amazon HERE. I was about to make a wig out of yarn but that would have taken a long time and it was worth it to me to just buy hair that looked a million times better.
There you have it! Can't buy costumes quite like these :)

ReplyDeleteI found this via Pinterest and just wanted to thank you! My daughter is over the moon about the idea of being Paschal for Halloween. I used a hooded sweatsuit instead of a sleeper and it worked great, and was SO easy!!! Thank you for your idea! I linked back to your post....
