DIY: Teething Toy; Boo Boo Bunny
2:52 PM
Have a sad teething baby? Make them a boo boo bunny.
Add a little more applesauce.
When we were little our mom made us a boo boo bunny when we got hurt. Here I am today doing the same thing for my teething child only a little different.
The original boo boo bunny when we were kids was used as an ice cube holder for scraped knees. Since you can't give a baby an ice cube, we will just roll up some yummy stuff in the middle and wet it down a bit with cold water to soothe those gums.
All you need is a washcloth, some water, applesauce, and a sturdy elastic.
Roll up your washcloth like this with some applesauce in the middle of it.
Fold it in half like so.
Fold back the "ears"
Tie around bunny "face" with elastic.
My teething baby loves the wet bunny the best. It's just a wet washcloth rolled up without the applesauce. You can place it in the freezer to make it extra cold on their gums.
Happier baby :)

ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea. Your baby is so cute! Mine is almost 10 months and still only has two teeth... but I know the teething monster is coming soon!
ReplyDeleteCould be a dumb question... but what is the apple sauce for?
ReplyDeleteThe applesauce is just so it tastes extra yummy to the baby :)

Been up since 3am screaming that his face hurts. Tried basically everything. Nothing online was quick and simple. Found this and now i have one happy boy!
